Your Greer State Bank Visa® Debit Card, now with chip technology, is accepted at over 11 million Visa® merchants worldwide. This card can be used for everyday purchases anywhere you see the Visa® symbol. The advance security of the new chip card technology provides an additional layer of security that offers greater protection against fraud.
While most merchants across the U.S. are beginning to accept chip card transactions, your Greer State Bank Visa® Debit Card will still work at terminals where only magnetic stripe transactions are accepted. And don’t worry, you can still perform 24 hour ATM transactions—just look for the CIRRUS® logo.
To activate your card and/or set/change your Pin #, please call (800) 992-3808. To use the new chip card, simply insert your card face up in the terminal removing after your transaction has processed. To complete your transaction, follow the prompts on the terminal. You may be asked to sign, depending on the requirements of the merchant.
For added convenience, we also issue temporary debit cards at account opening, in the case of fraud, or lost/stolen cards.
If your Greer State Bank Visa Debit Card is lost or stolen, please notify us immediately. If you catch us after normal banking hours, please call (800) 472-3272 and provide your name, account number and the date the card was last used. To order a replacement card, please contact your local branch.
And because we all love to travel, we kindly ask that you please notify us when traveling out of the country with use of your debit card.
