Fraudulent Automated Telephone Campaign

April 2009
On Monday afternoon, April 27, 2009, Greer State Bank was notified of a fraudulent automated telephone campaign targeting both customers and non-customers in the Greer area. The automated message indicated that the recipient’s debit card had been deactivated due to fraudulent activity. Recipients were also instructed to enter in their debit card number if they wished to re-activate their debit card.

This telephone campaign did not originate from Greer State Bank and no Greer State Bank customer information has been compromised. We will continue to investigate this situation and provide updates on our web site.
